What was the seed for what is now your food business?
I started TotallyNutz in December 2017. The idea came from living a healthy lifestyle whilst I was travelling with my boyfriend in New Zealand.

I started getting into moulding chocolate when I was very young, thanks to a woman at a local farmer’s market.This led me to take a course when I was 12, start my ‘business’ and I spend that Christmas making spreadsheets and price lists for my new product. Later I studied Globalization and Social Entrepreneurship and applied all that to my business to grow and develop.
What was the seed that grew into what is now your food business?
We started initially when we rented a farm in rural Galway where we had a flock of sheep. I’m not from a farming background but I love working with animals.

I have always had an interest in hospitality and food so, when an opportunity presented for my husband and I to take over a food business I was only delighted to accept and take on the challenge.
Noo Chocolates is an artisan chocolate company located in Ballina in County Mayo. We use locally produced ingredients to create our unique and exciting chocolates. In our chocolates we combine the best of everything: finest Belgian chocolate, freshest Irish cream, liquor to name a few which create a completely unique taste of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Coast.
What was the seed and idea that developed into what is now your food business?Eliza and Evie are the food makers and sister brains behind the NutShed. It’s no accident that this team are feeding Ireland, sustaining people up and down the country with plant-based foodie goodness. Great food and food full stop have always been this team’s passion as they were both brought up not just on it, but in it, like two peas in the family pod of food fanatics.
Dr Colette Reynolds is the founder of ‘Growing Healthy Eaters’, a Nutrition and Children’s Healthy Eating Coach and mother of two young boys. Colette offers practical and research-based advice, strategies and tools to help overcome the challenges of healthy eating; take the stress out of family mealtimes and develop lifelong healthy eating habits. This is an Irish based service available in person or online, providing one-to-one personalised parent support, workshops and classes to groups of parents and staff in companies, communities and school settings.
‘Janet’s Country Fayre’ is an Irish artisan producer of chutneys and relishes, pasta sauces, pizza sauces and recently developed Piccolo pizzas. Janet is the lady behind this artisan food business and her products are award winning, produced in Co. Wicklow. Her core ethos is to develop pure taste and additive free goodness to the consumer.
The Cool Food School, promotes healthy eating in a fun and interactive environment with children of all ages. Travelling to schools, preschools, and parties to teach children the values of eating healthily through a range of fun workshops and camps designed to develop healthy food habits in children and encourage the enjoyment of eating wholesome foods.
Cepta, is a food lover and home-chef eager to share her passion with others providing cookery demos, cookery classes & food experiences from the Cookalicious kitchen from her Oranmore home in Ireland, her clients home or workplaces. Cookalicious represents a brand that are passionate about cooking, ‘real’ food and sharing a love of all thing’s food through transferring real food skills and knowledge to their clients.
Catherine Macklin is the female creater behind ‘Heavenly Bia’. An authentic wholesale company of wholesome local foods from the Irish land and sea.
She had worked for many years running ‘Heavenly Foods’ in Athlone. A company that supplied and delevered frozen foods to homes nationwide. Catherine is a qualified Accountant and Tax Consultant whom had never envisioned a future in the food industry.
‘Eat Unique’ is a thriving healthy Grab & Go café based in Monksland, Athlone a large town found in the midlands of Ireland. Created in 2015 by local sisters Celine Folan and Edel Larkin, along with Celine’s partner Nigel. This dynamic trio set about developing a creative and healthy food concept for the midlands which focuses on local, seasonal and quality produce. The trio have backgrounds in sport, nutrition and food which provide valuable knowledge, skills and expertise to combine with their passion in creating a unique foodie destination.
